About me
I’m Krystian Kostow, a Warsaw-based photographer with over nine years of experience. My work is rooted in portraiture, theatre and documentary photography, with a strong focus on people, character and genuine emotion.
I create actor portfolios and portraits, photograph theatre and film sets, work behind the scenes, and take on commercial, fashion and business commissions. Documentary, street and experimental photography shape the way I see—keeping me attentive to gesture, atmosphere and the unexpected.
My background in acting helps me understand what happens on both sides of the camera. I know being photographed doesn’t always feel natural, so I give direction when it helps and create space when it’s needed. I’m interested in the moment when you stop performing for the camera and simply become yourself.
Whether I’m photographing a person, a performance or a brand, I’m looking for more than a technically perfect image. I create photographs that feel honest, distinctive and worth remembering.
